ProductDescTechnology Compared: Wraparound Case
or American Case?
Wraparound technology offers more production capacity in a smaller space, but not just this-one machine against three means lower installation and maintenance costs. It should also be noted that the deployment of personnel on each system is very different. American case packing machines require a full-time operator, while wraparound packers only need an operator to feed the consumable materials-an activity which can be automated to a large extent. A single operator can therefore cover two wraparound machines on the same line without assistance from other personnel.
Another advantage of the wraparound system is that the cardboard case is designed to fit precisely the set of containers, making it extremely compact. The American case has to be slightly bigger in size than the containers which are inserted into it. This means that it is often essential to use partitions between the containers to protect the product and avoid damaging the labels.
Finally, it is important to point out that on the wraparound system, the weight of the glass (in containers such as bottles) can sometimes be reduced because of the greater protection and the compact packing it offers.

Technologies in Details General desigh:
The wrap-around case packer has to be compact designed with a minimal footprint. The equipment must be easy to clean. For service reasons, there must be easy access to all main mechanical and electrical elements. The frames are designed as welded construction and made from closed profile. Cable ducts must be designed in theat way, that water or lubrication fluid can drainage easily and eventually leaked product can be cleaned easily. All sensitive parts must be covered by coverings.
¡¯ Magazine is adjustable for different dimensions of corrugated board.
The capacity of the magazine is enough for 500 blanks or 30 min. of production.
¡¯ For installations with restricted space, a turning station must be an option by order.
¡¯ The machine is equipped with automatic lubrication. Lubricant specified for food industries, if necessary useable to run FDA approved lubricant.
¡¯ All faults create a optical and acoustical signal (e. g. fallen down containers).
Faults, which creates damage of the machine or packages will stop the machine automatically.
¡¯ No damage of packages, -fouling,-and abrasion of printed color allowed
¡¯ Instead of currently used cylinder, the case formation unit must be driven by cam.
¡¯ For service reasons, there must be sasy access to all main mechanical and electrical elements. All adjustments must be repeatable, easy and regain. The fine adjustment of the machine has to be step less, because of the different package dimensions.

Materials:
Frame and all components made from carbon steel painted, stainless steel and Hard coated aluminum according to customers¡¦ environment in plant. Sheet metal coverings must have streak brushed surface instead of polished surface.

Automation and Pneumatic:
¡¯ The control-PLC, generally Siemens has to be used, Each individual motor must be contrlooed by a frequency drive. The frequency control from PLC must use standard analogus signals 0-10V or 4-20mA. The frequency drive brand is Danfoss or Mitsubishi.
¡¯ Pneumatic components is from Festo or SMC.
¡¯ Hot melt glue system from Nordson is required.

The Packaging ProcessContainer Infeed ¡® Divider
¡¯ Safe container feed and spacing via servo motor driven ralis and oscillating dividing plates.
¡¯ Flexibility for container dividing via ruler-supported clamp and crank adjustment of the dividerplates.
¡¯ Continuous container flow through infeed dosing via operating panel
¡¯ Speed regulation via ultrasonic sensors or signal exchange with the transport system.

Grouping Containers Spacer
¡¯ Grouping of containers via spacing rod
¡¯ Changeover to new container width via ruler scales
¡¯ Automatic changeover in transport direction

Pusher for Grouping Containers
¡¯ Pushing softly by the plate with rubber
¡¯ Stably driving with linear guilds
¡¯ Protect case from demage
¡¯ Adopt Al. construction to move smoothly

Case Infeed with Blanks Magazome
¡¯ Central feed of the blanks magazine
¡¯ High-performance and stable blanks infeed by sucker
¡¯ Easily accessible and protected adjustment of case guides

Pack Formation ¡® Seal Unit
¡¯ Passive or active unfolding of case sidewalls
¡¯ Folding of inner flaps via electronically-controlled cam
¡¯ Processing of wrap-around cases in long-side leading
¡¯ Quickly adjustments for package lengths
System Advantages:¡¯Modular design ensures high flexibility:
Packing in wrap-around cases or trays with or without shrink-wrap.
¡¯Pack production according to the inline principle, therefore precise pack formation.
¡¯Gentle processing of carton blanks by means of passive unfolding
¡¯Single drives for precise reproducibility of settings upon type change-overs

Spec
The American Case (RSC)
The American Case involves the use of three machines which serve to erect the box, insert the bottles or other containers into it, and fi nally to close up the case. The case is normally fairly large in size in comparison to its contents, and this can cause greater internalinstability. Partitions are often used to reduce the risks of friction and breakage between the containers.

Wrap Around Case
The pack obtained with the wraparound case packer is, as its name suggests, a piece of cardbard wrapped around a group of containers such as bottles, cans, multi-packs, etc. The single machine deals with the enterprocess; from the selection of the containers rjght up to the closing of the box. The resulting pack is very compact thanks to the reduced tolerances achieved through compression.

YZ-WA SERIES Wrap-around Case Packer
Technology for Top Performances
The fully automatic, continuously operating packaging machines. YZ-WA Series pack all sorts of different containers in wrap-around cartons or trays. The machines operate in the medium to upper performance range, in accordance with the inline principle, meaning that container and blank feed are positioned one on top of the other.
